Purpose of the Role

As an HR Generalist, you will be responsible for managing daily HR operations and ensuring that HR processes run smoothly and efficiently across multiple regions. Initially, the primary focus will be on operations in Ireland, the UK, and Sweden, but the role also offers opportunities to gain exposure to other jurisdictions as the business continues to grow.

The role supports several HR functions, including HR administration, employment law matters, performance management, compliance, benefits administration, payroll support, and system administration. As an HR Generalist, you will serve as a central link between employees and leadership, contributing to a positive, inclusive, and compliant workplace culture.

Promote a safe and compliant working environment by supporting relevant training and documentation, encouraging the reporting of incidents, and guiding employees and managers to the right support.

Key Responsibilities

HR Administration, Reporting, and Compliance

  • Maintain and update employee records in HR systems (HRIS) and personnel files.
  • Support reporting of personnel and HR data.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the setup of operations in new countries as needed.
  • Assist with audits and HR/compliance reporting.

Benefits and Payroll Support

  • Administer employee benefits and onboarding/offboarding processes.
  • Collaborate with the payroll function to ensure accurate compensation and deductions.
  • Support annual benefits reviews and related communication to employees.

Employee Relations

  • Act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries and daily support to employees.
  • Assist with employment law and personnel-related matters with high confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Promote a respectful, positive, and inclusive work environment.

Performance Management and Compensation

  • Support performance appraisal and goal-setting processes.
  • Provide guidance on improvement and development plans.
  • Support annual salary and promotion processes.

HR Projects and Culture Initiatives

  • Contribute to the development of HR policies and continuous improvement projects.
  • Support initiatives for employee engagement, surveys, and recognition programs.
  • Participate in group-wide HR projects as needed.

HR Operations

  • Serve as the first point of contact for general HR inquiries throughout the employee lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or equivalent (required).
  • 3–5 years of experience in an HR Generalist role.
  • Good knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills for data validation and reporting.
  • Experience with European employment law and labor markets.
  • Experience working in multinational environments.
  • Excellent English skills, both written and spoken.
  • Valid driver's license (Class B).

  • Familiarity with HR systems (HRIS) and the Microsoft Office suite.

  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple parallel tasks against deadlines.
